We have a beautiful music room in our school that has floor to ceiling windows and is always so sunny and bright. It's a breath of fresh air to walk into. I saw these guitars hanging on the wall in the sunlight and had to capture them.

October 2011  Aiden is my friend Julie's baby boy. She wanted 3 month pictures done of him and I was honored. He has the most beautiful blue eyes and I fell in love with his nursery. Jack October 2011 Jack is my new little friend who was just so much fun to be around. Such an adorable little boy. The trouble is, you think you have time.

I have a lot of time to think logging 20-25 miles per week right now. A lot. Of thinking. Time. But I love it. I think about life. I think about people. I think about things. I might even think about you. Thinking takes up a lot of headspace on my runs. I'm learning a lot about myself on this journey. I've learned that I'm committed. I'm stronger. I'm learning to have more patience. I'm learning to let things go. I'm learning that there's no place for negativity here. That there's no room for that to take up space in my head. I've learned that if I set out to do something, it's going to get done. I've learned that it's not easy or fun to wake up up 5:30 in the morning and brave the cold. I've learned that injuries suck and set backs hurt. But I can still do this. Every day I wake up and face the day knowing I can do this.  We can do anything we set our mind to. I can. You can. Like A Small Boat...

I can't get that line out of my head. "Like a small boat on the ocean, sending big waves into motion." It means so much to me because it's what I feel like most days. I have never fought so hard for something in my life. This is huge and I am just this one person fighting for something so big. Like everyone else. Everyone is fighting for something. Something within themselves. Something small. Something big. Something bigger than they feel like they can even tackle but being surrounded by such good people is what keeps us on our path.  People who have the same vision. The same heart. The same hope. I've met so amazing people in my 39 years. Many of those people have touched me in a way that I will hold in my heart forever. You don't forget what people have done for you.
